K Ive had Monty for 5 months now. He eats like a champ. first three months he would eat a live adfult mouse every three days then i moved him to f/t now he eats a small f/t rat once every week. seems happy likes to be held everything is where it should be. had trouble with a couple of his sheds cause hes in a 15 gal glass tank so i got him a humid and his humidity is @ 80 to 90% with his over head lamp off 60 with it on. last time he shed i kept his overhead light off till he shed an it all came off in one piece... or so i thought. a few days later i noticed one eye duller then the other.. ive tried soakin him in a tupperwere of water with the lid on. tried wraping him in a damp towl in his tank. even tried a lil bit of sticky tape on my finger a couple times wouldn't budge. Anyone have any other ideas or should i just wait till his next shed

hey im having the same problem as you only my BP is ultra sensitive on the head so he wont even let me touch that to try and help with out trying to bite. Almost his whole head didnt come off which is horrible cuz thats supposed to come off first i thought. Im not really sure what to do, ive given dozens of baths and if i keep his humidity too high i might end up with RI and that isnt acceptable to me if theres any thing i can do to get that shed off. Hopefully we both get help asap :D

Bit of mineral oil on a q-tip for the eye cap. VERY gently remove it.

As for the rest of the shed, give him a good soak, and you can rub gently around the edges of the stuck on shed with your fingers while you do.

Just dont yank it off :).

Get humidity gauges if you dont have them already... keep your humidity between 50 and 80 percent.

Injecting your f/t prey with water will keep your snake hydrated and help with sheds also.

Hope this helps-
