First off,
I have a female blood that was captive bred and has been in my care for about 4 or 5 months. since the beginning she will only eat 4 out of 5 weeks. for some reason she always skips a meal or two an dthen continues feeding well for alittle while. she has good weight and girth, sheds well etc. could it be because i feed her too much and she needs to catch up to the schedule? any suggestions? i'm not really worried, i am just a little curious.

Secondly,
i picked a farm hatched male blood from a wholesaler yesterday and i have never seen a blood so small ever. about the size of a ball python. it has not eaten in about 6 weeks because i have been eyeing him since then. when i saw him yesterday he was in a bare rubbbermaid with a dry water dish. no hide, no heat. i picked him up for 90$ and figured with a little TLC he would be fine. brought him home, gave him a nice warm bath to hydrate him a littleand left him overnight. today i gave him an assisted feed of a pinky rat. i put it in his mouth and let him down, he constricted and ate. i think that gives me a little bit of time to work with because i was real worried. the folds of skin and the unresponsiveness were crazy. no signs of RI or external parasites. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Brandon

Your female blood sounds fine, mine will skip meals on ocassion(though it sucks when they decided not to eat a rabbit cause they are not cheap, lol). Give the male about a week, try to feed him again. Assist feeding can be stressful to them, so try just leaving it in his face at the next feeding. Make sure his cage has high humidity(70%+ is what they need) and keep him hydrated. If he constricted the pinkie rat after you put it in his mouth, im sure he will eat fine without help nex time. He was probably in the condition he is in because he was an imported baby and no offense to importers but normally proper care is not provided. Good luck and posts some pics if you can!
