View Full Version : Reptic-Plastics ( pics )
I thought about posting some pics of the new cages i got from reptic-plastics. I'm replacing all my 4X2X1 cages for those. The puzzle is still not finished i'm ordering some more soon;)
I recomand them to anyone that wants the best for their snakes. They are light, stackable, very simple to clean, no corners inside that are not cleanable, easy to control temp and humidity, cheap around 250$ can. and they are suitable for most boids up to 9-10 feet in lengh. ( Personally i'm using the 4X2 for many years now for boids i always breed in that type of enclosure to.)
     For Jean-Benoit the owner of Reptic-plastics. Thanks for comming up with a 100% Canadian product like that it exeedes all expectations!
Thanks for viewing,
Stav

His is supposed to be at the next show as well. I think he's got some tables reserved. They are sitting on my old racks that I used for the cages i self built, they were the same dimensions so they fit for the new cages.
How about some pics of what's in them now
Soon my friend i'll wait till i start breeding them. They are all boas mainly my lines;)

Keep up the good work J.B I i hope to order soon from you and you know what i mean.

Those are pretty impressive. Very impressive setup too!!
Just doing a little math here... you have 16 visable in that picture, @ $250each..... that's $4000 of cages, holly crap!!!!
and you want 16 more.... wow, I wish I had that much cash to spend on my reptiles.....
Amazing!
Are you using heat tape to heat them?
Marisa
Nothing cruel about throwing money at an entrepreneur. Nice looking cages...I look forward to getting a few myself, but I need the $ first.
Set up is looking good Stav! I will have to drop by for a closer look while bringing a few cold ones for us...
JB sure does great work with his hands, great cages made in Canada...
I'm just curious, I love the set up but I thought hides were important...I don't see any in the pic. Perhaps I am confused or is it less important to have hides with larger breeds?
Yness- I am not sure what his reasons for not using hides are, but hides "can" be important, but not always.
Many of my snakes have no hides. They simply either don't use them, push them out of the way, or do just fine without them. They normally relax in the open, but they can also get under the paper if need be.
All my young snakes have hides though, but I don't think they are always needed for adults.

Thanks bidden. The cages I was building myself costed more than 250$. They were made out of formica 1/2" "thick stock" but they were never any close to those. In my mind putting 250$ on the reptic plasitcs is cheap.
I dont care paying for a quality product.
Marisa
Are you using heat tape to heat them?
No I dont. I heat the whole room. Until now it always worked for breeding, and I never saw any difference in the breeding result from when i was using heatpads. But they come with heat tape to.

Marc you are always welcomed you know that. I got some new stuff on their way to show you to;)

I personaly dont use hide for any snake. They go under the news paper if they want to hide. Its a choice some people like to put hides some dont.

I use rubbermaid racks to, for smaller snakes....
Thanks
Stav

Hmmm... Those look like Boaphile Plastics cages. Check it out:
www.boaphileplastics.com (http://www.boaphileplastics.com)
They have pvc plastic and every thing. From 24"- 96" long, 24" deep, and 12"-17.5" tall! They can have Flexwatt, Radient Heat panels, incandesent, flourucent bulbs installed right into the cage! They only cost $20 to ship anywhere in Canada, too.
Heh... I sound like a salesman don't I?

Yeah you do.
I just received a couple of custom display cages from Reptic-Plastics and I am very happy with the product. I would encourage anyone in Canada who is looking to go to plastic caging to give Reptic-Plastics a try, you won't be disappointed.
Being mainly a Canadian site, most of the members would probably prefer to order a Canadian product especially to avoid duty and brokers fees. I'm not trying to hack on Boaphile cages but if there is a comparable product in Canada, why not buy Canadian.
Ron
*Not a salesman just a very satisfied customer.
:D
I wouldn't hesitate to buy either of these products based on the products themselves. Both seem to be highly recomended. Aside from the "buy Canadian" argument, boaphile 4X2X1 cages are 200US which is about 240 CDN at today's rate, and then you get hit for duties and brokerage fees which can be quite substantial. RepticPlastics are 235 Cdn. That's almost cheap enough for me to stop building melamine caging. :)
