Meet Bob Dylan, my new Amel corn, which I picked up at the Richmond Virginia show today. Sorry for the lousy pics but I just snapped a couple while getting him out of his travel house :)

This is my first corn, and I'm real excited. My daughter who is 5 is claiming this one as "her snake" but I love him a lot, too.

Congrats on the new snake! Hope Bob settles in and does well for you and your daughter. There were some nice looking corns there (I saw some great Butters, Silver Queens, and Caramels). I did look for you- but I ended up getting in a little late (10:30 or so) and had to scram pretty quickly after grabbing some snake food and books.
Glad you enjoyed the show!

Nice! An amel corn was actually MY first snake, with a snow being our houses first snake. I love amels, and mine was awesome! You'll enjoy him, it's also neat because they kinda change as they grow color wise.

Congrats.

Thanks guys!! Lola Im sorry I missed you, I overslept and didnt get there until really late in the day myself.

Im still figuring out the ins and outs of all this. I think there might be too much humidity in the tupperware. I might need to make bigger holes (first snake not kept in a tank, so now my problem is too much humidity!! LoL)

Hi, I don't know if it's a bad angle, but the photo of your daughter appears that she is holding the snake with all her might. Be careful; children don't realize how fragile reptiles are, and may use too much force when handling them. My son has the same corn, it's 4' now and growing. Paul.

Paul- its the pic, she never handles unsupervised, and this is "her" snake now as she was upset at the python being "mine" lol. She is actually quite mature and gentle, as our home is a veritable zoo, and so it must just be the pic.

Hi, that's great. My seven year old is mature enough now; kids are facinated with reptiles. I wish more adults were. Paul.
