new burm pic's

Hi everyone, well I finally managed too get my camera to download my pic's, Here’s one of my new "giant" a little het albino burm. I had a few posts on her a while back but couldn’t get the pictures off my camera.

It's amazing how small they start out. I’m glad I got this shot,. I’m going too take one a month and track her growth.

They start off so small and cute. Too bad in like even 2 weeks she wont be that big. Very nice though. Keep the growth pics coming and it will be interesting to watch it grow.

Yup no question that normal burms are one of the nicest snakes going. Just too bad they get so big.

I would have to agree Trevor, normal burms are one of the most amazing looking snakes. If it wasn't for the size they would be ideal, they have perfect feeding response and are docile from the start. I'll be sure too post pics as the months go by.

Albinos are sweet too but a regular burm is hard to beat. Do you have any pics of your albino? Have you ever seen the ones at the Magnetic zoo?

Hey, I don't have any recent pic's of my albino, He's been a slow grower for me, probably about 5'. I have a feeling this little girl will out grow him quickly.
I was at the zoo in august, I was disappointed to see that their giant albino had passed away; they now have a smaller albino looked to be male, and normal females. I'm hoping to put together a few more enclosures this summer and pick up a granite female.
I’ll work on getting a few pic’s of my albino who was the same size as this girl 11 months ago.

I had no idea. Rough summer for Bernie, a tiger and an albino burm in the same season, ouch.
He does have a small male albino burm that Chris Marshell incubated for him. He gets eggs all the time but never bothers with them, not that I blame him. He decided to have Chris incubate one and it turned out to be an albino proving out one of his females as a het. Pretty neat.
Jean Claude Savoie of Reptile Ocean in Campbellton also had three albino burms for sale for while two years ago. Not sure if he still does or not. I would consider an albino male if I didn't have any other snakes to keep and feed. With my luck though it would grow to like 17-20 feet or so just because I would want it to stay small. Have you ever heard of dwarf burms before? I have but I don't know if it was true or not that such an animal exist.

Yes, I’ve heard of dwarf burms, a specific local where they are smaller. I believe a small number of them imported a few years ago. but they are rare, I have no idea how many of them are around, and the few that are would be in the states. There is also a sub species the Ceylonese Python - Python m. pimbura, they are a bit less rare but I believe they have a bit smaller size potential.
