Uroplatus naturally do that to their eggs. They coat the soft, freshly laid eggs with whatever soil, moss and crud it can pick up before the shell dries. They don't bury their eggs too deep, so this coating helps camoflage the eggs. I've seen them roll the eggs so roughly, I was afraid they'd break them but it never happened. If yours did break the egg, chances are it wasn't calcified enough to withstand the rolling, maybe check if the female is getting enough. Of course, it could always have been a pure accident, that happens too.

I looks nice and white, like a fertile crestie egg..She's been eatting a lot of snails lately and I've been had feeding her extra calcium. she probably had an accident, unless do the eggs inflate when the shell hardens?

I gently moved her and picked up the egg, there's a small slit in it so she accidently tore it. It's nice and white though hopefully I'll get some fertile ones next time. I have one incubating since aug 30th

That's phantastic! lol, sorry for the pun. Good luck with the Aug. egg... I have 2 around the same age so we should compare notes if/when they hatch.

What temp are you incubating your eggs at? My temp fluctuates in the lows 70's, usually 72.

if the egg hacht well... i may be interested to take some more of those beauty... just send me a privat message if you whant to sell those in a couple of month...
Yep, I have a small group of ltc's, and a "pet" c.b. male (tail kink). My eggs are incubated at basement temps, so depending on the season the range would be 68-75 degrees. It's sort of strange that we both had them laying in their winter season...
