Awesome. :)

What ae you using as a substrate? Just tile? Whatever it is it looks pretty good.

currently its vinyl flooring. she has a tendency to spill her water dish. so i'm trying a more sturdy dish and an easily cleaned substrate. i may use towels if she can't tip that.

the enclosure is one of three we bought last year.. each 4lx3deepx2high..

it is heated by an UTH, and has a outlet for a bulb, but due to the lack of protection, i do not use that. I will be installing an 18'' flourescent light soon.

and the snake is about 7' long.

Nice... how about heating with a Radiant heat panel while yer at mounting a flourecent fixture :)

heh heh heh.. at the moment, the UTH is working just fine. if the enclosure was any larger, then i'd definatly consider it.

Nice..

Where can you find heat panals? Are they illigal in canada like heat tape or could you find it at a hardware store?

Adam, heat tape IS NOT illegal in Canada! Just because it is not CSA approved does not make it illegal. I wish people would stop spreading this myth. Heat tape is UL listed, and thus is perfectly legal. If you wire up your own light switch in your home, guess what? That's not CSA approved either, unless you are a CSA certified electrician. But that doesn't make it illegal.

Back to the subject at hand...

Nice coastal!!!! I've thought for the longest time that these are the most underrated snakes on the market, just because they don't have the brilliant yellow of their cheyeni cousins. Coastals are actually my favorite carpet - I love their impressive size, their temperament, their clutch sizes.... and of course, I'd kill for a jag.

Adam, I believe Matt K had heat panels at the last expo.

Nice coastal. I had a chance to get a baby male last year and let the opportunity slip by and I'm still kicking myself on that one.
