I recently had my system reformated, and I can't seem to install the video card drivers.. The drivers I try to install are for Video Controller (VGA Compatible).. that's what it says anyways... Anyone know how to help me??

Thanks.

what is the video card you have?

If your video card is integrated, you can get drivers from your motherboard manufacturer's website. If not, look for the brand and model and go to the manufacturer's website to get the appropriate drivers. If you are using an ATI or NVIDIA card, you can get generic drivers for your card from them. Do you still have the receipt for your video card or computer? It should tell you what kind of card you are using. Hope this helps.

yes you will need to know your video card type first. Find out if its onboard or VGA - video graphics accelerator. (the specification for most video cards today) if your card is a geforce card you can find drivers at www.nvidia.com if its an ati then you will have to know the model of the card most likely. and like edwin said you may need to find your motherboard manufacturer and download the drivers from them. Is your system prebuilt (dell, gateway. HP) or custom built? If its a name brand your drivers may be on a cd that came with the system
