Is it just me or do these things suck and not work properly? I have one that never gets above 60, and one that never gets above 70...one of them use to...I'm confused...give me some feedback on this gauge please....and what do you guys use??

Throw it out. Sorry man, but they are a waste of money. Innacurate readings and defects are just commonplace with those and the thermometers. Go to a hardware store or garden/greehouse store or something and look for a humidity gauge. HTH.

I agree with Chris. There's MUCH better technology on the market that is NOT advertised as reptile equipment. Look to other industries for stuff like that.

i agree. i just got 6 digital thermometer/hygrometers with probes for 15 buck a piece at radio shack. also try home depot or probably walmart in the garden section.

most humidity gauges under a few hundred dollars are innaccurate.

The digital ones I have found to be fairly accurtate. I had a bunch of those exo-terra ones when I firstgot into Dart frogs.... there would be condensation inside the gauge, and readings would often be 100% while the tank itself would clearly be no more than 80%.I had another one that would top out at 70 percent.
Go with the digital ones from Home Depot or Radio shack.
