View Full Version : Panther chams
Hi all, just recently purchaced a 1.5 month panther cham,,,just wondering if you think I should use a feeding bowl or just get an abundance of crickets to roam and it will find them...My cage is 1x1x3 ???
Please give any tips
Thanks
Mike
Cage space is adequate enough. I have built two enclosures, one 1.5'x1.5x3, and one 3.5x3.5x5 and it's just way too big. The first cage, smaller one, I find is perfect for my veiled, and would honestly say any chameleon. In terms of caging, Foliage is what you want to aim for, the more branches and leaves, the better. I use a feeding bowl for adults, I find that babies have a better chance at finding something when they have free roaming crickets however. So I'd say free roamers for another 5 months or so. Make sure to leave some fish flakes in a corner for the crix to eat, or they may gnaw at your cham. I've had it happen to anoles.
