My stupid cat knocked over the cantainer I have my eggs in. My ? is will that kill them. It happened while I was at work so I don't know how long they were like that and I also don't know which way was up. Are they like leo eggs and will drown in their own embyo thing?? or will they be fine??

It won't hurt to keep them you never know they might turn out.

It totally depends on the circumstance. Gecko eggs are much more resiliant than most people give them credit for. I think a big factor would be the age/developmental stage of the eggs... but you never know untill they hatch (or don't). Good luck, I hope they turn out ok.

Thanks. I told my cat if they didn't hatch because she knocked them over I was going to strangle (sp?) her (I would never she's my baby over all else). Funny thing was she put her head down and went and sat in the corner! It was really funny. Sometimes I think she actually knows what I'm saying.

Oh no, hope all turns out well Rebecca. I'd be choked if that happened to me and I hate waiting for things. So having to wait to see if they are going to hatch our not would personally drive me bonkers. Good luck!

Ya the sad thing is I knew that already. I raised quite a few leopard geckos. I just forgot for some very stupid reason. But the eggs still look good so hopfully it'll work out ok.

I think that it is an attention thing with cats!
My cat tripped me up when I was candling one of my eggs! I dropped it and it bounced across the counter in the bathroom. I thought for sure that it was all over for the poor little embryo! 2 weeks later it hatched. Didn't seem to suffer any noticable ill effects at all! At over 2 months old it is one of the most voracious feeders I have!
Hope it works out for you! Good luck!
