Found where their ranges overlap in TX., this male appears to be a natural intergrade of a desert king (L.g. splendida) and a speckled king (L.g.holbrooki).
The colors are very intense on his belly.
A very docile snake as well, one of this year's favorites for sure.

Brian, a friend found this guy and was nice enough to give him to me. Now I want a female to go with him of course!

Sounds great, those babys sound intertesting:)
You sick intergrade breeder!! :p :p lol!
Nothing beats a pure speckled though. Although having a having speckled king with intense yellow speckles would be cool too. :)

now now Tim play nice lol Beautiful MUT king lmaf would be nice to see what he produces in the future
Don't think it'd be fair to call it a mutt considering it is a naturally occurring intergrade. By my definition, mutts are species crosses. But then again that's just my opinion. :p
Very nice integrade Mark! Love the intense yellow....
These integrade should not be confused with true MUTTS a.k.a Hybrids, a world of difference between both...
Thanks for sharing

I was using the term "mutt" loosely. That's why I had it in quotation marks. :)
Very cool looking snake! :)
