Just woke up b/c hubby called me to say that Anya had escaped :( She's the one that was snippy and difficult (for me) to handle.

Well I guess she was letting me know that she was hungry, as she made her way over to the rat cages, and wedged herself between the table and the wall. I removed all the cages, and picked her up, and even held her while hubby cleaned her cage (figured why not, he was filling her water dish as well).

She was fine, just looked at me, didn't hiss nor hide. It was rather cool, so I am happy, thinking maybe she will eventually be able to be held just like the other two.

So anyways, this is the third time in a week that a snake has had the opportunity to explore the new place, and I don't hope for a repeat :p

Her enclosure is locked up tight now, and it will stay that way, lol! We are using door stoppers right now (I have actual locks, however they don't work, so these do for now), though I forgot to put hers back on  My bad.

Ok, I am going to head to bed...or maybe just read a bit here, lol :p

yeah, after one escapes they seem to get better at it....... no matter how many brick you put on there! lol

as for her being good, she was probably just cold..... we have a white lipped that was a sweetheart when we bought him, then he got some heat and BAM! Now his name is Spaz. ha!

I'm not sure about her being cold. The entire room is heated under the flooring, so it always stays between 80-85F, sometimes warmer if it's warmer outside :p

But yeah, she was, at about 3 AM, checking out the same spot that she got out of lol.

I have been very lucky and not had escapes from any of my snakes but when the cover is off my female's tank she starts coming right out so if there was a chance she would be on the lam for sure. I have an IJCP that does the same thing every time I open the top.

I am just very greatful that Anya wasn't able to get too far, and that hubby was checking all the animals before he went to bed :p

My spotted will come out if I open the lid ;) She just wants to explore, and I suppose, figures that the lid off her enclosure means that she can do as she pleases, lol!
