Search for files and folders named *.dll. That will find all of them. Narrow the search with the actual file name.

Here's advice: If you don't know how to use Windows' search feature, you shouldn't be playing around with DLL files.

(this will sound like a rant, but it's just a bunch of important things to take into consideration)
Where did you download the replacement .dll file from?
And what is the name of it?
Has it been scanned for trojans or other malware?
If it's replacing an exisiting DLL that is corrupt, but loaded into memory at boot, you'd have to boot into safe mode to prevent windows from locking the file and then replace it.
If it's a DLL from an app, reinstall the app.
If it's from Windows, do an emergency recovery from the CD, then reinstall service packs.
If you're not familiar enough with the PC to be able to find them on your own, as Ken said, you shouldn't mess around with them.
And never, ever, install DLLs the originate from a third party. Like a site you'd find on google that provides DLLs.
Some of the stuff people hide in those is comparable to leaving copies of your housekey on the front step with a detailed list of valuables.

if its windows xp or newer windows XP should rebuild any dll that gets deleted automaticly. Its the dummy feature. Second as stated once before. Where did you get it and has it beed checked for viruses. If its a windows DLL file you will naturally find it buried somewhere in the WINDOWS folder. unless its program specific.

check here or just type the dll file name in google. The file is probably not on ur comp and you will have to add it. Mind you I take no responsability if you install a hacked dll :) good luck

You are probably using win 98 or me. If you have ME, get rid of it, it sucks!
Upgrade to 2000, XP. You wont have any . dll problems again.
