This is a big problem for everyone. If this bill gets passd it would amend the Lacey Act. If our neighbors to the north think it is expensive to import things now. This could make it worse.exotic bill (http://www.hsus.org/ace/15412)
Of course it is backed by the HSUS.
"introduced legislation that would ban interstate shipments of lions, tigers, bears and other dangerous exotic animals for purposes of keeping them as private pets."
Anyone know what else they are including on this list under the conspicuously large umbrella term 'other dangerous animals'? Is there any way to find out?

That is what the bill lists are those animals. Bill number is HR 5226. However I believe this is a very slippery slope. Today these tomorrow snakes. We, reptile owners, are not united at all. Therefore we are an easy target. We need to make sure the Congress knows that if they try to include reptiles in this ban now or in the future. They will be leaving office.

I agree, why should responsible people have to pay for other peoples mistakes.
