View Full Version : My Cresties
Well here are my crested geckos I have as of right now. I hope to have a couple more. Hopefully females. This first one if my first crested gecko I received from Jeff Torberg in Calgary. He's pretty cool and is the one who got me hooked on these guys. The second one is an unsexed juvenile that I'm hoping is a female. Since my gf's turned out to be male I'm really really hoping for a female now. The third picture is of my enclosures. The top smaller kritter keeper is for a hatchling and the two similar ones are housing my juvenile and noname's cresty. Pongo, the older dalmation spot normal from Jeff is in a 30 gallon on it's side that I don't have a picture. Let me know what you think!

nice animals, what kind of plants are those In your cresties cages? How long do they live with no sunlight?
Thanks concept. Umm the green one found in both enclosures is a Dracenea. And the other one is a Rubber tree. I have no idea how long they live without sunlight. They seem to be doing alright right so far. The rubber tree sap can be very harmful if swallowed or touched. But it would take a huge crestie to jump on them and break a leaf off. So i'm not too worried about that. The dracenea isn't toxic. I'm hoping they last for a while. Either way they cost 5 dollars so i'm not too worried about it.

Pongo is the coolest. He looks like a little, hairless puppy dog.

I'm not a lizard guy either, Jeff... and I'm even LESS of a cricket guy. I have one crestie and they ARE cool. No plans to breed them though. Our is more of a family pet. My wife and kids LOVE it! They are like little monkeys. :D
Nice pics, Mike. :)

Great analogy Tim! I never even thought of it! I always want to say that they're like a puppy cuz they lick your hand with those big tongues... but they really are like monkeys if you think about it! Especially all the jumping around!

Damn, that's soooo tempting to get one. Just like the good old days. I really liked breeding Day Geckos back in the day. They were super fun to work with. But these Cresties just seem like tooo much FUN!

Do I detect a crack in your armour? Am I seeing some evidence of surrender? You mean those google-eyed spike-haired four-legged reptilian comedians might be wearing you down?
Resistance is futile.... you will be assimilated just like the rest of us were.

Thanks for the compliments Tim and Jeff. Should we start a thread that is dedicated to posting crestie pictures that will make Jeff crack and give in to these little guys adnd go out and purchase a colony of cresties?? Hehe

Once the temptation has started thats just as good as saying your getting one...but one leads to two, then three and so on :D
Remember to post pics when you get some Jeff :D
