That is a grand idea! A new snake for getting another star! Hmmm, I'm two snakes behind.. But that can be easily remedied :D Now which will be the next one? A boa... Jungle carpet... Blood python... ??? Decisions, decisions!!! I think I'll do some shopping today! But where to put the new tank, that is the real question!!! I'm running out of space!

I had to go buy a bigger house! I move Novembewr 26th and have a "snake room". Once I get moved I have grand visions for the room!

Well, a new baby today so that's 1 star! :) Brought home a gorgeous baby columbian boa, she's so cute! I figured out where I'll be setting her up (33gal tank for now) but it's starting to get cramped in here!

I just hope my bf doesn't freak too much when he gets home! He knows I'm getting more, it's just he didn't think it would be today!!!

Well, if the bf has a problem with it, send him packing. That will give you more room for more snakes when he moves his junk out! LOL! :)

He wasn't all too happy when he came home from work and saw the new tank & snake, I got the silent treatment the whole evening... :(

Unfortunately he doesn't share my passion for snakes as intensively. He likes 'em and has no problem having them around but his ideal would be 1 or 2. Like that's enough for me!!!

I'm not going to send him packing cause he's really good to me and lets me have them without complaining or getting angry (tonight was the worst that I've ever gotten and it'll be over by tomorrow I'm sure) it's just that he would like advance notice on the arrivals and to have a say in the matter. But I always have a great comeback, I never bug him about his love for golfing and how much he plays, and I never bug him to help me with my snakes. He does when he wants.

I've thought of what it would be like if I had a bf that was as much into snakes as I am and I'm sure we'd have too many for our own good!!!

I think I'll have to give up the new star/new snake thing... I'm getting close to my third already and have to work on some terrariums at this point! Not to mention, easing my bf into the idea of more snakes coming soon!

Pixie buy them in pairs that can be housed together... unless he looks closely he'll think you only have one in there

I am planning to pair some off in enclosures, mostly my corns. But I want to wait till they're pretty much full grown first. They're all different sizes right now and I don't want to chance one mistaking another for food. All of them are pigs!!! As soon as I can double some of them up, there will be many more :D

And my bf is over the new one and talking to me again :)

You get a lot of the credit. Between the morphs and the genetics questions, I went from neonate to colubrid in no time. Now I'm two snakes behind and have to work some overtime so I can afford to get them! LOL! :)

That's good to hear about your bf. I was afraid you were going to throw him out of the house just as winter is starting! BTW, I have two corns that hatched in 2001 (both males) and I keep them together, and two 2002 hatchlings (both females) that I keep together. No problems yet, knock on wood. I never feed them together, and I never feed them in their cage.

As for the snakes for stars thing, my hon has informed me I have to catch up to the number of snakes we have first :(

I used the "grandfather clause". Any snakes I had prior to joining the forum were grandfathered in and do not count against my stars count. The way I figure it, I'm making up the rules, so I need to work them to my advantage. LOL!!! :)

well we did get about 5 snakes since I joined the forum, soooo I still have to catch up under those rules, means only one more star and i can ask for more snakes (though it doesn't stop me from asking for more anyways).

I'm already starting to prepare my bf for another snake coming in the house. Since I'm having new enclosures built soon and the one big terrarium I have now converted into 3 living spaces, there will be more room for new ones to come in :) hehe
