Bad news and good news on shipping to any of you.

Bad news is if you want me to ship to you anywhere in Cnadada I would have to export it and shipping would be $400 dollars. This is not an exxageration, to export, I have to drive all the way to Miami(200 miles from where I live), pay a guy to fill out forms and get an export license to shipp the order each time, and the export cost cost $350 shipping overnight will cost me $50 more. However, this wouldnt't be a waste of money if you were making a big purchase.

Good news is that if you live within driving distance of an American city and have a contact there (family or friends) you can drive there and I could ship it to you there for $40 shipping. To get back across the border with them, legally, you have to have proof that they have been kept with the breeder (us) for 90 days. This is so that they could prove there is no problem with snake like disease or parasite. We could send you a letter from our vet. for your proof to get back home with the animals.

You choose what you want to do. Happy Herping.

If your making a big purchase its an incredible waste of money. Especially when you can order from other places from the united states and it wouldnt cost a third of the amount. I dont care if your buying a $80 lizard or a $1000 snake, its a total waste of money.
Dont mean to be rude, but i just dont agree with paying 400 for shipping

For the right order, I would pay this.

For sure. Especially if you can get a few people to go in on it. It’s not a huge deal to split the $400 3-5 ways, even if you still have to pay some shipping once it gets to Canada. Of course, it's not worth it for something like albino corns but if you're shipping in a species or morph that is rare in Canada, it's pretty easy to justify.

On a side note, next summer I will likely be doing an US order for some colubrids. I would say it's not too early to start trying to organize something now. Any interest?

well ya if you look at it like that, but as you said for an albino corn, paying 400 for shipping is a tad extreme dont ya think?

Why would you need an albino corn shipped from the states anyway? lol You can find them all over canada.

And that's why I said it's NOT worth it! lol

Appreciate you getting back to us 'Ultimatecorns' - the designated port and expenses involved are often enough to put US breeders off of doing any shipping to Canada, but like Tim says - definately worth it if a bunch of people are interested in some animals from an individual who is willing to ship up here.

Tim - I may be interested in going together on some colubrids (again depending on who you are bringing things in from). Would be great if you kept us posted,

I regularly pay 70+ in shipping too purchase any animals, just because there are so few breeders out here. And i usually pick up a single animal, that adds up over 400 very quickly. It is always better too go in together for shipments especially if crossing the border.

Send me an email if you're interested. Let me know what you're looking for. Then I can start to find a couple breeders in one area willing to do a group thing.

Sweet. My website isnt updated with expected 2005. This is because hurricane Charley hit my area before any other place and my house and shed held up, but a dear friend of ours, that was bigger then us, lost his porch that had all his animals and his shed of mice flew away, so we got just about all his adults. We will be producing anywhere from 3000 eggs minimul (minmum to be safe is 10 eggs per female) to 5000 eggs 2005. I will go out to my shed and put together everything that will be available this coming season, but beware it will be very, very, very long.

I'll keep you posted.

((sshhhhh.... just a little reminder. If you get into the nitty gritty of an order either the customer or vendor end, don't discuss it here. Starting the idea of a group order is one thing, but anything more than that doesn't belong in this forum. Not that I'm trying to be mean, but 'rules is rules'. ))

one more point of clarification. we can ship to any US city for $40. Pick the US town closest to you. You can drive across the border and pick up the package at any shipping office. BUT you have to show up on the day we agree to for the live guarantee. We furnish the documentation, and then there is no $350 - $400 export fee.
