Why would you want to make a hybrid?
The same reason people want to make Jungle Corns or Borneo Bat Eaters! That was a silly question or were ya just trolling cuz it ain't gonna work :p

IMHO I think that its wrong but whatever floats your boat...
Im actually with CDN-Cresties on this...
I dont like hybrids... just seems very un natural...
I prefer pure bloodlines.
But like he said.. whatever floats yer boat :D
In fact, unlike most people here... I prefer beautiful natural specimens as opposed to morphs too.
(Although I just LOVE Jaguar Carpets :D )
Well IMHO I think there is nothing wrong with it becaue when ever you take an animal out of the wild and start selectivly breeding them even if it is the natural phenotype you are still changing the natural genetic makeup, but there is no point in starting a flame war over this because nothing is gonna change. So I will respect your oppinions and I ask that you respect mine!

Shad0w true jaguars are a costal morph. It is a natural occuring mutation that just happend to pop up during captive breeding or thats how the story goes any way. There are intergrades being produced between spilota subspeices which is not on the same level as an ARPxburm cross.
As far as your project goes D J N I look forward to seeing some pics. I didnt realise you could cross the 2 species. Has anyone done this already? Any pics?

Yeah I have heard of it before and I think that it would be pretty nice, they both have the same colors but a different pattern.

Yes Bob Clark has done it and the babies are very interesting some have Arock patterns with Burm colours :)

Im very excited to see how these babies turn out. I understand where some people may not agree with hybrids and they prefer "natural specimens" but i believe that there are many very popular reptiles out there that you just wouldnt see if people hadnt gotten a little curious and tried things out like this. We all have our own oppinions on this issue tho so...we all need to respect that. :)

I agree as well.
When I was looking to buy a normal burm....the one I wanted turned out to be a freaking cross.
Dont breed them...cause if they get into the wrong hands....people will start to sell them as full burms...
