He seems to be really shy. My crestie will come out all the time but, this guy won t come out unless it s really dark. He also runs and hides if I get to close. I was just curious if this is normal behavior for these guys.

My gargoyles aren't as outgoing as cresties, but they are calm when I hold them. They try not to let me pick them up, but once I have them (gently, no forcing), they settle down and stay on my fingers. Mind you, each and every one pays me back for the pleasure of holding them by pooping on me. Every one. Every time. :)

OMG dude!! It happened just like that LOL. I took her out to clean her cage and she dropped a big one right in my palm.
