I should mention, before there's any confusion, that this is an immature Eagle (hence the lack of a white head).

The Eagle was found in Southern Ontario.

This young Bald Eagle was actually slowly succumbing to botulism, so it wasn't too hard to take some photos.

Dave, do you see many botulism related deaths in birds over at your location; Cormorants, etc?

I'm really not the guy to talk to about birds Ryan. My interests are mainly in herps, although I am starting to branch out a bit. If you're really interested, I could put you in touch with someone there who would be able to give you a more informed answer.
I have seen countless dead birds over the past two years but the cause of death is unknown to me. The one thing I can tell you is that the lives ones sher love to dive bomb me while searching for turtle nests.
