I got a little berber male in August from a pet store in a trade. They were upfront and told me that they had a couple and one died. They were told they were c.b but believed they were w.c. but I took it anyway. I brought it home and set it up in a tank by itself for quarenteen. He didn't eat much to anything at all the first couple weeks and then cut down to nothing. Even after being dewormed he continued to go down hill. He didn't like to be handled like my other berber who is fine with it and he hid most of the time so I left him be and only held him for meds and cleaning. He would drink but not eat. I saw him roaming around the cage yesterday evening but he was flipped on his back this morning and had passed during the night, I'm guessing. It was very sad. I knew it was a chance I was taking but I was hoping for the best. I'm really upset that I lost this little guy in such a short time. I've been crying and depressed all morning.
R.I.P. my little Loki.

I'm sorry for your loss. At least you gave him a chance to live and he had a few months with someone who cared for and looked after him good.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I'm feeling better now. It still pulls at my heart every time I walk by the now empty cage. I didn't have him long, funny how we can get so attached so quickly.
