Sophia ate a huge rat yesterday (the biggest so far), but after her feeding (just like many others), she chooses to be on the cool side to digest. The cool side temp as between 76-78. The warm side is around 90-92. The hides are the same type (size, height, etc).

Normal? Set-up issue perhaps?

If your temps are right, then i wouldnt worry, but I would double check them with a different therometer than the one you use. Mine will retreat to the cool side somethings after a feed, but usually by the next day has migrated back over to the hot.

If the hides are commercially made, I can offer no insight, but if you used terra cotta pots or something, and knocked out an entrance, that might be an issue. the cool side hide had a much larger entrance when I knocked them out, and he wouldnt really use it at all until I got a new one and made a new, smaller, entrance.

Hope this helps-
