Hi,
I have a crested egg that has been incubating since Aug 3. I have tried to "candle" it to see if there are veins that are visible, but cant really see much. I noticed once I got a second clutch that it was quite thick compared to other crested eggs that I have.
I wasnt, and still am not sure if it is a viable egg, however, it has swollen considerably in the past few weeks. today it looks HUGE! especially next to later clutches.
my question is, will infertile eggs swell like this or is this a good sign that the egg is viable?
also, will the hatchling have trouble getting out if the shell is too hard/over calcified?
is there anyting I can do to help it?
thanks,
Adam
