i have a 25 gallon tank housing two leopard geckos...
the under tank heater is for 10-20 gallon tanks that i have stuck on the bottom of it...
the problem is this, the tank is on a stand that does not hold up the heater in any way...
this is a zoo-med thin sticky uth, not a flukers one.
so, say now like for instance i think that the heater hangs off all the time about 30% off
i dont know how to correct this. is there any glue that i could buy that would make the bond better?
ive never detatched this thing i think it is just gravity pulling it off the bottom of the tank
anything to reseal the heater?
also i was wondering if i could actually just pull it off completely, does anyone know what kind of seal i should use
im going to tape the cord to the tank so it doesnt pull downwards now, but i want to possibly attach this heater to another tank
thanks

I was told by someone at the Sep 12th show that contact cement would work.... never tried myself though..

Home Depot and Canadian tire both sell aluminum tape. H.D. has it by the duct work isle and C.T. has it where they keep all their tape by the paint. This kind of tape works well b/c it allows for heat transfer and doesn't leave a mess from the glue when you peel it off!

I'd go with the aluminum tape. Adhesive failed once so odds are that whatever you used to reglue it would do the same thing.

can the heater be pulled off the tank and then placed somewhere else?

I've never done it myself but I wouldn't recommend doing it...a) the adhesive will probably be no good anymore and b) you might damage the elements in the heater.
