hey i was wondering, my friend had a male leo and about 4 females..
i took one of the females and i would like to take a male too.
i took the female about 2 months ago. today i would like to take a male from her too .
my question is, is it advisable to put just one male and one female together in a cage? and if so, how big shoudl the cage be? dimensions, not gallons please, considering its a rubbermaid.

Remember you want to quarantine any new animals. For the size the 32 qt. would be the size you want. They are called blanket boxes. It is ok to house a male and female together as long as you want babies. If not then do not do it. There is no way to keep them from breeding.

Also if you're putting them together, remember to make sure that the female is of a breedable age/size... males mature faster than females! She should be at least 40g -- preferably 50g... and keeping her separate until she's 10-12 months is another guideline to go by...
Other than that, yes, males and females can be kept together, if you're ready & willing to take care of any babies that they might produce, and find homes for them.
Good luck :)

yup im ready for all that and the male is quarantining right now for a few weeks but what i meant was, i know that you can house a male and female together, but some people advice against it unless you have 2 females and 1 male, just so the male doesnt harrass the female

It does happen sometimes that a male will harass a single female. Adult males are pretty "busy" during breeding season and it is often better if there is more than one female to keep him "occupied". This is not 100% by any means, your pair may be quite happy together, just keep an eye on the female.
