I have a female VC.
I have read and been told that I will have to breed her or she will become egg-bound and die.
Has anyone had success with allowing a female to lay her eggs without being bred?

Any help is greatly appreciated as this is my first chameleon to have.

Thank you,
K

She will be fine, female will lay eggs with out a male, exposure to a male, excess food will all increase the amount and early deveilopment of eggs, a young cham with eggs is not good.

soo when she reaches about 6ish month old id start watching her food intake restricting her to a cirtain amount of food every day or other day. and dont expose her to males at all if you dont what early development. make sure supplemts are given and u should be good. there is lots of good info out there check out some of the links in my sig, a fat cham will develop eggs sooner. basically a young female will have a harder time going through the eggs creation and laying process, and it will take away from the development of a female giving needed resources to the eggs reather then the growing female.
