Any information on the Vendors attending the show this coming weekend would be great. I have heard it is a much smaller show and more people are exhibiting then the TARAS show. I would like to know so I don't make a 3 hour drive there and a pissed off 3 hour drive back. Any vendors who are going, it would be great if you mentioned it in this post. BETTER YET, a list. Thanks.

I don't have a list but if you contacted Nita (http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/member.php?s=&action=getinfo&userid=4440) she might be able to help you.

Although the Edmonton show usually gets pretty good attendance, there are not as many vendors as the Calgary show. It's mostly local breeders, but people around here are breeding & selling more & more each year.

The Edmonton shows usually have a fair amount of stuff that is just there to be shared. Rather than just a bunch of young animals that are for sale.

Weather or not you will be disappointed depends on what you are expecting.

Definitely tends to be more display and public education than sales, especially relative to the really big shows like TARAS and Red Deer.

There are usually the typical common species available for sale (geckos, dragons, cornsnakes, milksnakes, kingsnakes) and some suppliers typically turn out. There is quite a diversity of species on display, but limited high end animals. Some of the larger breeders from southern Alberta often attend, but the show doesn't attract many out of province vendors.

Hopefully Nita will be able to post an exhibitor list - if she isn't too overwhelmed with the last minute organization.

The ERAS show is a great example of how a simpler, smaller venue can still be great fun.

Plan a weekend with some tourist type activities thrown in and perhaps a bit of partying if you make the effort meet some of the ERAS people, n(i'm sure somebody will have a party somewhere) and you're guaranteed a good weekend.

Sadly I won't be there myself.
