I see pics of huge retics being handled by people all the time. Also burms and, lately, even anacondas (but less). But why is it that i almost never see photos of big captive rocks? In special being handled or with a good size reference?

I hope this thread breaks that tradition and i (we all) get to see some nice pics. Come on, post them if you have them.

Here's another. A big afrock killed (no surprise) in Nairobi.
So what's the deal? Nobody else has a pic or 2?

Sorry for the late post, new to the forum. Anyways, here is my biggest AfRock, he's around 10ft or so. Really docile. I have 2 other afrocks, too, but there not as big.

WELL you have to keep in mind that most of the time those people eat what they kill, and Id imagine that a large rock could feed quite a few people, ON THE OTHER HAND they may kill to protect their livestock, either way if I where that skinny Id try it! HAHA, hell Id try it now.

I agree, also the skin can be sold to feed their family for quite some time. You must understand the difference in culture befor you say things like "I want t hurt those people" I love snakes as much as the next guy but maybe the people you should realy eb mad at is the consumers. JMO

Also, does anyone know if that 32 foot rock that was shot by that school in the early 1900's was ever photographed?
