I just bought an awesome carrot tail female.

I wanted to see what the result would be if I bred her to a high yellow male. The reason is because I paid $375 for the female and in high school money does not come easy so I won't be able to buy a male for about 2 months. I could probably get him before breeding season but it would be easier to just breed the male I already have to the new female.

You could do that then when you get your new male just breed your female to him instead. Sometimes they will retain sperm from the first male, but often by changing mates they will take the new ones sperm. I'd have to say that you'll probably end up with a few nicer than normal leos, maybe reduced spots and high yellows. Who knows, you may get lucky and end up with some real beauties:D

I actually just happened to get 8 babies that are sired by an albino and mothered by a hi-yellow/carrot-tail. They are all (I think except one ot two) high yellow for sure with some little bits of orange here and there, but mostly normal. The are cute as buttons, though and I can't wait to see how they grow up! Some of them look promising, but more than likely they'll just be normal high yellows... =)
