simple how-to ques

First off my rat litter is still a bit small, needs another 2 weeks or so, they're just about 25 grams.. Ok so my question is this: when your feeding two f/k feeders is it best to make/allow the the snake to strike twice or to just put the nose of the second one right under the first as its being eaten??

Personally I've always given the snake the choice and allowed it to either strick again or refuse.

Id have to agree with Boid Keeper. This at least gives the snake a true perspective because the rat that it struck at would be the one it expects to eat. Though it may be a bonus that is bigger when it starts to swallow giving it the choice is the best option.

I've tried both methods, and if the snake doesn't want the second item, regardless fo what you do, he'll back away from it and/or spit it out. Nothing you can do to MAKE a BP eat something other than shoving it down their throats, into their stomach.

Tru dat!! i figured that since i wasnt too sure, the two rats would have come to 50 grams, and the largest she has taken so far is 40 grams so i figured id just feed her again in 4 days instead of 6 with another 25 grammer.. thanks for the help.. and yeah, i agree with boidkeeper as well, figured it just makes sense to make the snake choose...:) respek..
