Coastal breeding question.

Hey.. a few weeks ago I purchased a 7' female coastal from a friend of mine. about a week before I got her, she dropped a clutch of eggs (none were any good, but still).. I've got a few questions about this.. 1) was this out of season? she wasn't cooled or anything, however she was kept with a large male jungle for some time. 2) if i feed her a lot for the next few months, would it be okay to cool her for the winter then breed her in the spring?

I ask this because I have an opportunity to get an adult male, and I was wondering if i'd have a chance at breeding them this season.
