In the new year, my hubby is letting me bring home a puppy. She's a cockapoo (I'd prefer female), and the litter is due in December. I am really psyched, since I lost my last big dogs, and haven't had any around me for quite some time (well, hubby has a dog, but he's Gary's dog :) ). I am just jumping for joy, lol!

if hes letting you get a dog, why dont you get a purebred?

We have a cockapoo and she has just turned 16 years old. She is the greatest dog! We have had so many compliments of her looks and the big bonus with her is she does not shed! No dog hair or fur ballls.
Hope you enjoy your new addition when you acquire her.

Well, we are buying a purebred boxer pair from a friend in less than 8 months (a breeding pair, male first, female later on), and this one is to help someone who's purebred dog got out of the yard :p

The owners didn't want to destroy the pups, so have talked to all of their closest friends and most have agreed to take a pup (on a neuter contract of course).

Besides, I feel that these pups are in need of a home, while others aren't in as much need.

PS I think she is having her fixed now that she has been bred with a non-purebred, once the puppies leave her.

Thanks Betty!

Aww, my husband's dog is a maltipoo, and about 14 years old :) I am also very allergic to, well, everything with fur or feathers, lol, so a poodle or mix is usually the best way for me to go.

And I am really looking forward to having a new puppy around! :D
