I have a 18 month old ball that got out about 3 nights ago, and I have searched from top to bottom and everywhere in between. I have set water bowls out and little paper bags and 12 pk boxes out and still nothing. I fear the worst as our temps have dipped in the high 40,s and the mid 50's at night. Keep in mind we live in a 6000 sq foot house that is all concrete. with every little places to hide I am just at my wits end

any advise would be great

Many thanks
Hara

Just think like a ball, what do I need? Heat and a TIGHT place to hide. Fridges seem to be magnets for escapeesalong with anyother appliance that generates heat. Shoes also make good hiding spots, Ive had a few get out, and found them the nest day four feet from their enclosure, curled up in a shoe. Just dont give up, one time youll just walk into a room and he could be right in the middle of the floor, KEEP lOOKING

Not sure where you're located, but it IS getting colder lately. With all of the dips in temperature your ball is likely somewhere warm, like snakehunter mentioned. There's tons of tricks, like leaving out food, and traps you can try, all are mentioned on the site several times.

One thing you'll want to try if you've got all concrete floors, is 'dusting' the floor along the walls and in doorways with baking flour, so you can have an idea of where he is when you see 'snake tracks'. It will also make you feel better to know he's around, just being a jerk, that's all.

Be patient, he WILL show up!

hey i heard leaving a bowl of water out in the open day and night...at one point it will attract the ball towards it....duno if it works but good luck

You might have a well.. strange snake like mine. He got lost and went into my cold closet. Which is of course not by any heat source. So I'd look in places that don't generate heat also.

I hope you find him!

no never has shown yet it was a week wednesday, and she was due to feed sunday. We have looked and looked done all we can, I aint giving up, but I just cant go on looking 16 hours a day anymore. I figured if she comes out she will and if she got out shes gone. I hope that dont sound insensative, but 9 days of looking day and night was killing me.

I dont give up hope though. I might get lucky yet.

God Bless

Mine went on the lam once for a week and a half. Found her when I went to take a bath one morning she was inside the hollow bottom portion of the faucet!! Nearly gave me a heart attack, when she poked her head out of there when i turned the water on, but curled comfortably around my wrist when I held out my hand to her!! LOL.

Just to update, still no Nymshi I think my Ball is gone. I have looked and looked. I have almost given up hope, especially with the weather getting cooler here. If I do find her I am afraid she will be in bad shape. Thanks to all that took time to listen and to give advise and if I find her you will be the first to know.

God Bless
