a couple quick questions. Once an agg molds does that mean its dead/infertile? How can I prevent eggs from molding? If olny 1 out of 2 eggs is moldy in the container should i remove the good egg and put it in a diffrent container or will it be ok if I just remove the one that molded? Thx for any help

when green or blue molds appear on the eggs with'n two weeks it's not good, the eggs may die you can apply anti fungal powders such as clotrimazole (Lotrimin) for athletes foot it has been used sucsessfully for mold on eggs, or swap the moldy areas with listerine with a qtip works to get rid of it.
what color is the mold?

Remove the Good egg and throw out the perlite(it has lots of pores and the fungus may linger in there)

I think the rule of thumb (or....of egg) is never chuck an egg. While none of my eggs that go mouldy have hatched, some of the non-mouldy ones have not. There are many cases of people's mouldy eggs hatching out fine little babies :)
