Decap in Marrietta Georgia?

Hey all,

I just caught the tail-end of a story on the radio this morning when I got in my car to drive to work... it was something about a decapitation in Marietta, GA. Anyone know what happened? They said something about a guy going to his car in the morning and finding a decapitated body... :::shudders::: Well, if you know the story I'm curious to hear it... Nothing in the paper here... Thanks! =)

Oh, jeez. i thought you had new news. That happened like a week ago. They already have the guy out on bail. Basically he was driving home drunk with his buddy on the passenger seat. His buddy stuck his head out the window (probably to yack) and the driver swiped a telephone pole or guy wire or something and popped his head off. The driver was so trashed he got home and went to bed. A guy walking with his child saw the body in the front seat the next morning.

Sorry, BW, I only became aware of this story today... LOL That's gruesome... did they recover the head? LOL (I'm sick, but at least I admit it)... do you have a link to the whole story online somwhere? Thanks for the info... What I heard was that some guy woke up, went to his car and found a decapitated body in his car...

Something similar happened years ago and Dear Abby jumped on it to spur the anti-Drinking and Driving movement in her readers.

Guy was backing out of his garage the next morning after a night of binge drinking, and his wife came running out to give him his lunch. She collapsed and hurled all over the front lawn. So he got out to see what she was acting hysterical about.

There was a dead ten year old kid embedded in the grill and wrapped around the bumper. They'd been out for a bike ride and he ran them down and he didn't even notice.

He probably got off though, as that was back in the days when being drunk was actually an excuse. "He didn't know what he was doing when he ran over that kid, he was drunk!" Blah.

they found the head at the site of the accident...I saw the news when it happened and it was a guy wire I believe....ummm...heads u...yah..sorry ..

Mike, what a sad, sad, story.. I'm all FOR drunks taking themselves out, but an innocent child... oh, that just makes me want to cry. How tragic, and worse, how pathetic this loser didn't even know what he'd done...
