Hey, just wondering do you have any experience with large boids ? And if so do a lot of research before picking up a burm they are no small commitment. Also check you local bylaws because they are no permitted in many places.

Hi, although I don’t believe completely that some species are better too start with then others you should really think about going straight too a burm. There is no way too learn how too keep a burm by keeping another species but you can learn about many other problems you could run into. for example by owning a 7'+ boa I can realize just how strong a 16' burm could be. for example try getting a boa that is filthy into a bath of water, if a 7 foot boa can knock you over too get away. Or something as simple as feeding much better too learn just how viciously a boid can react too food with a ball python rather then get nailed bye a 200 pound burm one day. Plus if you decide down the road this isn’t for you will have a much easier time selling off a smaller snake then a huge one.

carefull.. read the thead i started a few days ago about a 10 foot burm..
Get a cornsnake if you don't have experience. You need to gain knowledge and experience with smaller snakes before you can move on to a burm, which may or may not be a good pet for you. It works for some people, (like me).
