Personally, it looks photoshopped to me.
Notice the shading change in the front 1/3 or so of its body once it has ingested the snake. Also, in the middle picture, something looks a little off about the front end of the snake.

I don't like the snake's head on the second pic, i say it is fake... Rat is way too big, it would have probably killed the snake if it didn't throw it back out...

its not a rat, its a rabbit. the snake is a black rat snake. now that yall mention it, it does look kinda shopped. when i first saw it i was like whoa!! it came from a website called http://snakesandfrogs.com

It could be edited, but probably not - I can't say for certain so I would give the photographer the benefit of the doubt. I have seen this type of thing happen in the wild plenty of times but only rarely get to photograph it >> See link below:

This is what happens when the skin is stretched, you see the same thing in all snakes when they are ingesting a meal. The skin stretches, the scales separate, and the pattern and colours all become skewed and appear lighter.
Check out the size of this Leopard Frog (http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=51261) compared to the Neonate Water Snake that is eating it. Notice the white and black striping that occurs when the skin is stretched - the snake normally appears brown and black (as can be seen in the last photographs). Note: these are my pictures and they are definitely not edited...
