I havent seen any mites but there was a gnat in there would bugs and mites make him shed often
Bugs, mites, injuries, or he could just be growing quickly.
You'll need to provide more info(enclosure, substrate, other symptoms, temperatures, feeding regimen, etc)...

The feeding schedule would explain why its shedding so much, I too think you should cut down. My adult breeders don't get that much too eat. I would stick to 1 or 2 a week & thats still plenty. Mark

My cali king shed for the first time last week, since I've had him and it came off in one piece so I saved it! He's such an awesome snake, my first at that! He's got a good temperment and he's not jumpy. I try to hold him every day if not every other!
