Left Monday mid-morning and returned Thursday afternoon. Decided not to drive to much so we stayed in Central Pa which limited the number of species, we still drove over 1400km though. Weather and herps didn't co-operate as much as we hoped but it was still fun and a beautiful state to camp in.
Species observed:
E. Milk Snake
Short-headed Garter Snakes (lifer)
DOR Blk. Rat
DOR E. Garters
Mtn. Dusky Salamanders
N. Dusky Salamanders; larval jev. and adults
N. Spring Salamander (lifer) larval and adults
Red-backed Salamander
Red-spotted Newts
Slimy Salamanders
N. Two-lined Salamander
Long-tailed Salamander
Wood Turtle, AOR (lifer)
Snapping Turtle
Leopard, Pickeral, and Wood Frogs
Am. Toads
Also saw my first ever live porcipine crossing the road, we saw one every night. Also saw a large Black Bear on the road.
Not much but managed to add 7 species to my years list which is around 135 species/subs
