ever heard of a snake getting scholosis (sp?) ? my snake has a little sharp bend about 3/4 inch from the tip of his tail. At first i thought it was broken , but I dont know how that would have happened. guy at the pet shop said It could be scholosis, just wondered if it was common. thanks

Scoliosis & Kyphosis are congenital (from birth) defects that arise in the spinal column. IT tends to arise more frequently in the mis-sectioon of the animal
Scoliosis can be cause by calcium deficiency int animals with Metabolic Bone Disease
Scoliosis can also be caused by scurvy (Vit C defidciency)
Looking at the picture i would hazard a guess of trauma to the tail given the distal nature of the defect.
Either way it wont affect the health of your Boa
hope this helps

when did you first notice it?
is it painful to touch?
cant splint it
will heal on own
is it before or after the vent?

Seems like someone tried to pop it when he wanted to sex it and broke the tail.
See it often on cornsnakes.
