This other garden came out almost black in color. The only problem with him is that he has a kink at the middle part of his tail. He still eats without any problems. And should be able to breed without problems or headaches

Very nice Richard, what happened to the $500.00 price tag on the first one? Hopefully changed your mind to a more realistic $300.00 or so? I would pay three hun for any of the really red ones but five is to close to a price for emeralds. If you look around on here Rob Mcrobby is selling a female emerald almost yearling I think for $550 so you see what I mean. I am serious though three hundred for a red one or what?

I know what you mean I bought that animal that Rob had for $550.00. That emerald Rob produced is worth a lot more then $550.00. That animal will out live 90% of the WC emeralds out there. I have not seen CB amazons for sale in Canada that look like this. I paid a pretty penny for the adults and this is the price I have set. I am being nice by offering all 8 animals for sale before I even hold any back. These prices are for the serious corallus keeper that wants high quality animals in their collection. I just think it's kind of funny, people want high quality animals but want to pay rock bottom prices like they were imports. I am sorry my prices don't fit your needs, but these are killer looking animals that came from nice looking parents. I also just refuse to sell nice looking animals at WC price's. Sorry everyone I just had to vent for a bit but lets get one thing straight in selling snakes you get what you pay for. Thanks Richard Welter

Out of curiosity, do you know what that would be in USD? The baby Emerald we bought was worth $850 in USD.... and the red patternless Amazons were about $500 and up if I remember correctly....

It would cost around $380.00 for the snake. When you look at what I paid for some of my snakes, this is a fair price for a holdback animal. I sold four WC amazons at the show that were garden phase and asked $100.00 each, but these are CB and come with a 1 month garentee, records card, a portrait of the parents.

I'm not arguing with you, I totally understand. I was just curious because I don't know what the exchange rate was.

You are preaching to the choir here. ;)

Don't worry LdyDrgn I was just telling you the exchange rate. The rate is not that bad now.

A wonderful array of colours on your little ATBs Richard.

Expected but unfortunate that the second one is sold. In my opinion that is one great looking snake that would have looked good in my reptile room LOL

Great job and I am sure they will sell out soon!

RICHARD WELTER:

Very nice Amazons and the photos are sweet. I agree with you with the pricing and how you set the prices. It is funny how people want the best but want to pay the cheapest possible. Even in that I also understand the buyers side of it. And I feel both seller and buyer can meet a mid-point not so much on an single animal but maybe on pairs, groups or the full litter. I think most breeders can be flexible on that, and buyers can appreciate that as well not only on price but that there is somewhat a reward to help the breeder reduce some stock in there facilities.

I myself see it both ways and make the adjustment to try and please if I can, but also know this is a business be it a small side second income or a full time job and the buyers themselves need to realize that as well because for of them, they are considering breeding so they themselves will be where the breeder/seller is in a year or later and will not remember they too must also pass on the almightey discount to the next buyer, lol. A full circle will in most parts happen and it will not be complete unless they see they wanted a cheap deal so its time to do the same.

I, myself like you and others with collections that cost a pretty penny understand what it cost and took to get some of the prized snakes. And some buyers as well understand but we all want deals and we all want top animals. I do not know many that would just say "how much, ok here is the money" for a $1000 animal and more, but everyone is different and there budgets are as well and there drive to have that snake as well.

So the saying is you get what you pay for, simple as that........not really there are lots who jump on the band wagon of other peoples quality and accomplishments, you see in the snake ads all the time. It really goes to doing the best research and getting from the closest lineage and breeder who has these animals to claim the best of the best. From there it helps after to state it is the best because there is proof in paperwork and identification codes, micro chipping and so on. Its not full proof but better than just saying its the best without any evidence.

We all think what we got is the best its just human nature to be proud of what you got. The followers who then believe the same do so out of respect, kissing butt, have lesser quality themselves and are proud of what you got, or see proof in the pudding with the evidence.

All in all everyone' s animal deserves a chance and each are unique and are of great quality, it just depends who believes it.

Richard this is not a burn or attack, I agree with you. I am just opening conversation for others to state there reasons for hiking prices and demanding top dollar or people stating not real value and wanting rock bottom dollar.

:)

Man maybe I went off topic too and just vented, lol. Who knows its early in the morning and can' t sleep.

My 1.5 cents...man I' m broke anyone got a quarter?

Cya...

the patternless red/orange is the pick of the litter! (LOL)
congrats on getting them to eat so quickly also.
are they eating live or F/T pinks or fuzzies?
BTW, you should always get as much money as you can as long as you never sell to anyone you think isnt capable of caring for the snake. I dont mind seeing $500 amazons and $1000 ETBs. My fear is when ATBs are $10 and ETBs are $150 because then you know people who have poor husbandry skills are gonna take a gamble on "having an arboreal" just my 2 cents.

It will be interesting to see just how much of their vibrant color fades and how much banding presents itself as they age. From what little I know, even the best of the best ATB breeders haven't been able to nail down consistent reds or patternless traits.

Good luck, though. You must really know what your doing if you've managed to get them all to feed already!

Based on what the parents look like the red patternless type amazon will pick up a pattern in around 6 months. There is no way this amazon will remain total patternless. There are just to many factors involved. As for feeding they were born around three weeks ago and a warm pinkie in a deli cup with the mouse works very well. Thanks Richard Welter

P.S. When they feed next I will make sure I get pics of them feeding so everyone can see.

Sweet!! Absolutely amazing. I like your black gardens, but NO MORE AMAZONS. Waiting to feed mine (giving them a week to settle from the show) before I post pics of the ones I got from ya.
