Hi,

I am currently working on acquiring a JCP, this will oficially be my first snake. I have years of expereince with many different lizards, so i am by no means a newbie to herping, and have been looking at snakes for at least a year before I decided to take the plunge.

the one I am negotiating for is about 4 months old. no I was on here a few weeks ago asking questions and was told that the 18.9L rubbermaids are good for hatchlings up to 8 months/1year

I am just wondering how big I could expect a 4 month old JCP to be, and how often should I feed, and what size of prey I can expect to need.

I have rubbermaid all set up with good temp gradient.

Looking forward to leaning form all of you once I get the little guy.

cheers,
Adam

I was told my guys around the 4 month age and hes 16-18 inches long. Its hard to measure them as they never stay still :) There still really small at this age but can eat meals, from what im told, as big as small adult mice. It all depends on how big the snake is. Make sure the meals bigger then the thickest part of the snakes body, not much bigger, but bigger.

There probably one of the most amazing snakes imo :) I just love my little guy and how they eat out of the branches. Aboreals are amazing to work with. At that age they can be a little snappy though, although mine is not at ALL and has eatin twice for me already since I got him :)

Good luck
