Well, Holy Cow! He kinda outdid himself this time, the show went great, best show I've ever been to.
I'll post some of the snakes I picked up from the show once they settle and I get a few pictures. I did come home with a male striped surinam, the planets were aligned in my favor (and Dan was chicken to arm wrestle me for one). Also picked up other boas Dan produced, via a trade with a friend.
Only 1 more year till the next one! Can't wait!

You will see me at the show for sure next year!
I have to agree with Ryan! Those of you who didn't make it out, missed a great show!! Walter was a great host and organiser! Was our first Red Deer show and needless to say, it won't be the last. I'm sure Walter has the precise tally of the amount of people who showed up. We're not just talking herpers but general public and first time herp owner. Lots of people picking up supplies, tanks etc.
There were some awesome display and some A+ vendors who I met for the first time. A BIG thanks goes out to SCALES + Walter (who made it all possible, in more ways than one!) and Ken and Erin for their generous hospitality! Many more thanks to all those I missed out. You know who you are! *descends stage* :D
Pics will be up shortly.

My trip had its ups (:D) and downs (:() but the show was GREAT and I had a blast! I met a ton of great people, saw some amazing animals and bought WAY more than I expected to!
Thanks Walter and Bonnie for all your hard work. :)
Thanks to Kyle, Mark, Jeff, Troy, and Katt for the superb animals! I will post pics of the spoils when I've had a chance to chill out for a bit. Too much spending, standing and driving makes Jack a dull boy... LOL
I can't wait for next year! :D
** Show pics and animal pics to follow... ;)
I gotta thank a ton of people for the great time this weekend. A big thanks and hug to Walter and Bonnie. Vendors were treated EXTREMELY well by these two and the show was great!!
A big thanks to Ryan and Sheila. We wouldn't have been able to go without those two.
A big thanks to Ken and Erin (Invictus/TheRedDragon).
Thanks to Mark for KILLER ANIMALS!! Top notch stock! Moe for a great deal! And to Richard Welter for his amazing animals. I can't wait to post pics and show how great the animals I received from these guys are!
Special thanks to Corey Woods, Courier Extrordinaire.
I'd like to thank the gentleman from whom I bought a grey rat from. Thanks Sir I have realized a dream!
And thanks to everyone I met and didn't talk enough to, but most especially Big Dan for the best nightly entertainment in Red Deer.

I think i speak for myself and Mo when I say " I still want my damn hamburger". It was a good show with lots of foot traffic. Definitely Walters best show to date. Congrats Walter and you are lucky for some reason I deleted the picture of you in gum boots and the pink shirt. We will get you back though.

Well this year show was absolutely great. I had a lot of fun talking to old friends and meeting some new ones, Walter and Bonnie did an incredible job as always. However I have something to say about Albertans hospitality, Greg and Myself did not get fed at the BBQ. I had to go search for a Wendys after the BBQ I was so hungry. I did not think that Albertans would be so mean toward BC people to starve them. I guess it's a lesson learned I will pack a lunch for Greg and Myself next year.
But anyways great show Walter keep it up. I would dare to say it was the best show I ever attended. Now that Walter set the bar so high let's see what the other organizers will come up with.

I also wanted to thank Jim, jwsporty for a beautiful cal king and to Laura for a beautiful corn! Thanks for letting us raid your bathroom!
For those who missed it. TOO BAD! It was awesome! I sold out, but somehow only came home with $55!
The Red Deer show was fantastic, great job Walter and I'm looking forward to next years!! Must say the Highlight for me was that Corey was there with his amazing animals, just getting to see a pied was amazing, not to mention sitting next to them drooling over them all weekend. Congrats on a great job Walter!

Many thanks to Walter (and Bonnie) for yet another great show. Definately some ups and downs but brought home some great new corns from Mark (gonesnakee) and was seriously tempted by some exceptional Sonoran gopher snakes - ghost and hybino as well as a snow - outstanding from Darwin's Oasis!! but had to leave those behind. Also got to bring home an absolutely outstanding Hondo from Classic - absolutely the nicest tangerine hondo I have ever seen - was thrilled to get her!!
Was great to meet many people from ssnakess and certainly lots of traffic through the show - will post pics when through recovering -

Walter ALWAYS puts on a good show! Good stuff peeps! Now get some pics up. Somebody MUST have taken some photos at the show.
Well what can I say but thank you all that came to the show either as a vendor or just someone who wanted to check it out. Bonnie and Myself do not need the credit, if it wasn’t for everyone that helped out or set up a booth there would not have been a show.
I will have to agree with everyone that this was the best show ever and plans have already started for next year. With many new things to see, do and win. There were over 3500 people that went through the doors. It was on the news many times, the radio stations told me their phones would not stop ringing all day Saturday about the show.
I would love to see some pictures as well since I did not have the time to take my camera out of the bag. I really hope people had fun and if there is anything you would like to see different or improved on let me know. Mo and Greg you do not need to reply, lol. I should let every one know I did not feed these two because when ever I tried to say something at the show they reminded me of the two hecklers on the Muppets. They would have been fed sooner or later I just picked much later.
So now the challenge is on for next. I have to try and top this years show. All I can say is that is going to be a tough one.
I would also like to thank all the people that came from way out East.
Corey ( I hope you never had to pay for Dan’s meals while you were out here.)
Jon ( I love the hogs I got from you)
Jim ( Don’t eat any more hotdogs )
Laura ( Hope the kids liked the toys)
Bruce ( It was a pleasure having to BS about spiders till 3am, Bonnie still wont let me put the bird eater I got from you in our bed room)
Norma ( I hope I got your name right. It was great meeting you and hope you get your banner done soon it is going to look great.)
Dominic ( It was great meeting you and hope to see you next year.)
The whole Manitoba crew. Sorry can’t remember all the names glad nothing got out this year, lol. It was great meeting you all.
I hope to see everyone there again next year. I would love to do a 3-4 day show so I can chat with everyone a bit more and see all the stuff people are working with.
yep didn't go either Jeff where are all the bloody pictures aargg!!

Sure Walt thank everyone form back east and don't mention the BC people. It's not that I need to be mentioned I would have been happy with just a burger, but nooooo.............even the homeless guy got a burger. Not to mention that I helped setting up on friday.
The least you could do is feed me, I drove 11 hours I worked 10hours and no food.......I had to drive around red deer for 55 minutes to find food I was so hungry. So the moral of the story is when you go to the red deer show bring a lunch even if they promise to feed you.

I would like to extend a big thank-you to all the fine people I met at the show. As my first experience as a vendor, I was happy with the crowd turn-out, the questions and the sales. Both Laura and I managed to sell out all that we came to sell and we both took back a few pairs of MO's Boas.
Walter, Ryan and Sheila for your hospitality and efforts in getting me out to the show. But not forgetting the others, Mark Isbell, Katt and Vanan, Ken, Mo, Annette, Kyle, MaryV., Tim and many more.
And of course to Brandon, for making the effort to intercept the freight coming back. Thanks bud
The plane trip out was all worth it. Hope to see you folks next year!!!
Thanks again
Jim
DAMN MO!!!!, You got me, ok, LMAO. I will buy the steak and crab next time I am out. Yes you did help me with 90% of the set up on Friday. I know it is an 11hr drive but I know you did it a lot better then that, lol.
I will maybe try and make it up to you next time, we will see. As for bringing your own lunch you are fine unless you bug the crap out of me while I am trying to talk at the show or something like that. See Jeff Mcfadden and some others were smart and bugged me on Sunday instead. lol.
Yes I would like to thank all the people from BC, Manitoba, Sask and Alberta. I cant list all the names. So once again thank you all for attending the show.
