at 21 years old, i still believe im a horny 16 year old sometimes :P
Sita remains the strongest and most loved female protagonists in my heart. altho the last part somewhat lost me when she went to the starlight crystal, but Damn that Arturo for screwing everything up and giving her a way to alchemize her blood!!! Out of all her lovers Yaksha and Ray seem to be the ones who stick out in the story. Yaksha made me cry in the end.:(
ya the last one was confusing. But out of them all I like yaksha the best.

I loved the Last Vampire books....awesome reading ;) I also liked reading RL Stine, simply because I could get through at least 4 books a day :D
Also love The Crysalids by John Windham (I think, all my books are at the new place and I am at the old place lol).
Other books I enjoyed - most of the 'required' reading in school, with the exception of the older stuff (I am not a Shakespear fan :p ).
Of course my library is full with all sorts of awesome books....lately I have been reading the murder mysteries in the Mira collection. Some are great, and not at all like those easy romance books (Mira is a part of Harlequin). Ok this got a bit O/T :p

"To Kill a Mockingbird" - Lee (I have read this book over and over so many times)
"Watership Down" - Adams
"Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh" - O'Brien (another constant re-read for me)
Not sure if it's much of a kids book but "Fifth Business" - Davies (pretty much a staple in mid to late highschool) is superb.

I like ruhnald dahl in the big friendly giant. Well I did. Only because when I was younge I did not know bunghole meant cave. And my teacher said something like the bfg went in to his bunghole. it made me laugh and the whole class laugh. We were stupid! YAH!

Dr. Seuss will always have my respect.
Adian, to quote family guy, instead of "everybody poops", i'd recomment "you're a naughty, naughty boy, and that's concentrated evil coming out the back of you'.

How could I forget?! LOL! Thanks I'm gonna go grab that one off the shelf!
I am still a huge Suess fan. Winnie the Pooh of course.
Beverly Cleary was another one. (Go Henry Huggins!)
Judy Blume (Superfudge all the way!)
Cool thread.
I never read many "classic" childrens literature, though of the ones I have read, and like...
all the 'Alive in Wonderland' ones (Lewis Carroll)
'The Swiss Family Robinson' (William H. G. Kingston)
'Treasure Island' (Robert Louis Stevenson)
'The Velveteen Rabbit' (Margery Williams) although considering it's "age range" it was a pretty depressing book...
and one of my all time favourites,
'Watership Down' (Richard Adams)
Of books overall, my current favourite genre is the OLD 'Gothic Horrors' and 'Gothic Romances' (Dracula and other stuff by Bram Stoker, Jane Eyre, Rebecca, Tess of the D'urbervilles, etc) I just love the old english and the weird words and stuff...
And interesting readings are the even older writings such as Beowulf and... oh great, I forgot the name of the one I really like... (oh, I actually haven't read beowulf yet... have it somewhere though)
And Shakespeare isn't too bad... love how he managed to change the english language...
