sloughing ?

He's been spending most of the week in his humid hide and when I checked on him earlier today his eyes were clear after being blue all week so I knew he'd shed tonight or tomorrow. Well he did it tonight and in one perfect piece but I noticed on the paper towel there was a very small spot of blood. Is this normal? I never noticed it the last time he shed b/c I didn't have a humid hide and he was on green carpet. Any thoughts!?

There's a spot of blood on my Bp's news paper too, but it's from the mouse he ate last night. Could the boold be from his food? If not, I'm out of ideas.

I wouldn't worry, he probably just had a peice of skin that was being stubborn and he drew a little blood in the process. Keep an eye out for anything unusual, but I doubt there will be any problems :)

He was due to eat last sunday when I noticed he was blue so I didn't feed him and pretty much left him alone all week. I picked him up this morning and he seems fine and theres no marks or anything so i'll just watch him!

The first time my BP shed, she left a few speckles of blood on the paper towels. I checked her out thouroughly and she was fine. Like Linds says, I'm sure it was just because it was a tougher part to slough off. My BP was perfectly fine.
