Well my cage is done....mostly. It is done enough for who is going to be on the inside. It is just the outside aesthetics that need completion, such as the trim and legs, but that is for my benefit only.

Front – it’s sitting on the kitchen table for now, I don't really eat there anyways.

Right side - the door side (Velcro door currently) and you can see the little white temp sensor in the basking spot

Left side - you can see the nifty dual thermometer with hygrometer.

Well that is basically it. I wasn't happy with what I was making for the drip system. So I am waiting to see what is at the show. But misting brought the humidity up to 65% immediately and then 54% after 10 min. My basking spot is only 83°F with a 40W so a 60W or 100W is on my shopping list. Still doing some temperature monitoring for the 10°F drop but everything looks good. Already located a couple of choice leaves to feed from, but we'll see what he thinks.

Red Deer, here I come!!
(Just have to remember to bring my Import Permit!!!)

Not at all excited, are ya? :)
Just wondering, what import permit are you talking about? If you're getting it in Canada, why do you need a permit? Is it a provincial thing?

Yeah, just a wee bit excited. ;)

Saskatchewan requires an import permit for exotic pets coming from out of province. It was free and the person I had to correspond with was absolutely excellent. Fill in the blanks with my particulars and what I am bringing home and that was it. Recieved it 3 days of my email. How's that for government promptness!?! I was impressed.

As for the sticks, that was just the start. I bought a package of about 75' of bamboo sticks. I only put up about 10' but had to get some sleep. It is going to bIt is going to be about a 2000km round trip, and I don't expect much sleep this weekend. Heading to Calgary first to visit family and friends.

You might want to skip the bamboo. It really doesn't provide much traction. Also when it is wet it can be really slick. You would be much better off getting some branch's from outside. If you are worried about pests under the bark just putthe branch's in the oven set at about 150f (sorry don't know the celcius conversion) for an hour. With the natural branch's you also won't have the green dye staining the Chams feet.
