My new veiled cham arrived today. It's a boy, he's 6 or 7 months old and about 10 inches total length. He was a little scared and slow-going at first but he wasn't skiddish. I noticed he already pooped in his new home. Is it just me or is that a really good sign? I know they usually don't eat for a day or two but I wasn't sure if the same thing went for pooping.

NI!

Congrats on the new arrival my friend! It's about time you got back into these woggley-eyed monsters. With getting an older animal, you miss watching them grow up; from little booger sized things to their large, impressive size, but I think in your situation, you made the right choice with a slightly older, well started pet. Good luck with your new guy.

Got a name or pics yet?

There are some who call me... Trace

Oh.... Poo is always good! Except, I suppose, when one has got massive piles of manure in each cage like myself today. I better get shovelin' eh? I digress, poo is THE indictator that bugs have gone into the front end before you got him.

Hey Trace! No pics yet, he just came today! I'm not pic crazy like you. I'm thinking I'm gonna name him Bruce. ITSeems like a good name for him.

Yeah, IT is a shame I didn't get to watch him completely grow up, though he's not huge at the moment.

You should have seen me, you would have been so proud. I was scrubbing down everything and making everything completely perfect for his arrival... I'm not screwing ANYTHING up this time. I invested in a really nice thermometer which is really cool and is helpful already. I think I'm doing well this time.
