Nix definately kills mites, had to use it myself semi-recently for the first time, it works wonders if utilized correctly

But it kill arachnids so if you have any in the same room take them out before you use it.

Good advice for the arachnids.

Mix the nix solution with 4L of water. This gives you a 1:68 ratio of nix to water, which is safe. I also highly recommend using distilled water, as it will last much longer.
