its a good idea to have a hide for him, a large water dish big enough for him to full submerge him self and some sort of vine for him to crawl and wrap around - use should also use astroturf for a substrate it looks good and is easy to clean

I dont agree with astroturf. If you want something that looks good and is easy to clean use cypress.

Its cheap, you can spot clean, and it looks very natrual. Add grapewood or driftwood for climbing and put a hide box on both sides of the tank.

why shouldnt you use astroturf? and do you consider astroturf and that "cage carpet" stuff they sell in the pet store as the same thing? im using the cage carpet right now, should i switch?

I agree with hooter (what's the world coming to!?!?? :p). Astro turf/cage carpet isn't very good. You'll see why I feel that way when you read my article. :)

Duroo, here is the article about some of the different substrate choices and how I feel about them. Remember, they just MY opinions though. :)

Corn_Snake1325, here are two articles I wrote on different caging options and an idea of the basic setup:

Nice article Tim_Cranwill,

One thing I was surpized to see was you had no cypress profile for substrates

I haven't tried it yet but I plan to in the near future. :)
